Have stored hundreds of thousands of songs in iTunes library and want to sync to iPhone? It can't be easier. Here, I'd like to show you two methods to sync iTunes music to iPhone. One is to use iTunes, the other is asking help from a third party tool – Wondershare TunesGo or Wondershare TunesGo (Mac).
Step 1 Run iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to the computer by plugging in a USB cable.
Step 2 Go to the the upper-left corner of the iTunes window, and click your iPhone icon to enter its control panel.
Step 3 In the left sidebar, click Music tab under Settings > Summary. Then tick Sync Music. Choose Entire music library or Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.
Step 4 Go to the lower-right corner and click Apply.
Note: You must realize that when syncing iTunes music to iPhone, a dialog pops up telling you that it will remove data on your iPhone before syncing.
It doesn't matter if the data on your iPhone are also in iTunes. However, if the data on your iPhone are original, and not in iTunes, you will suffer great data loss after syncing. To avoid this, you'd better draw support from a third-party tool. Wondershare TunesGo or Wondershare TunesGo (Mac) is a right one for you.
Step 1 Connect your iPhone to the computer and run TunesGo
Download and install Wondeshare TunesGo on the computer. Use a USB cable to get your iPhone connected to the computer. Once connected successfully, your iPhone will be displayed in the primary window. Besides, the Windows and Mac versions work almost the same. Thus, I just take the Windows version as an example.
Step 2 Sync songs from iTunes to iPhone
Go to Transfer iTunes Media to Device on the main interface. From the pop-up window, Wondershare TunesGo will detect all the media files in iTunes. By default, the entire library has been checked. But you can uncheck some items and only keep Music and Playlist items checked. Then click Transfer button at the lower-right corner to start the process. After that, click OK to complete the process.
Step 3 Sync iPhone music to iTunes
Unlike iTunes, Wondershare TunesGo lets you easily sync iPhone music and playlists to iTunes library, no matter whether they're purchased or not.
In the primary window, just click Rebuild iTunes Library > Start > deselect other items except Music and Playlist and then click Start to sync music and playlists to iTunes. The songs already existing in iTunes library will be filtered, so you don't need to worry about the duplicates.
Besides the shortcut, you can also go to Music at the top menu > Music in the left sidebar to sync iPhone music and playlists to iTunes library.
