Moving your iTunes library from one computer to another may appear to be a daunting task. This may mean that you’re either moving to a new MAC or just switching your machine which you sync with your iOS or iPod. The process of going about this transfer is simply based on a few steps which you can use to transfer your data. We will guide you with a few simple steps on how to transfer iTunes to another computer easily.
If you are migrating to a MAC from a MAC, your best bet is to use the OS X’s Migration assistant. This assistant enables you to automatically transfer your data.
Step 1 At first you need to click on the “system preferences” and go to the option of “sharing.” After that turn on the option of “File sharing”.
Now switch to the MAC you are transferring your data to. Over here you would see your old MACs address appearing in the Shared section of the Finder sidebar. Select it by tapping on it and click Connect As.
Step 2 You will come face to face with a sign-in dialog. Enter your registered user name and password, and tap "Connect".
Step 3 You can now navigate to the Music icon on the dialog which shows your old Macs file system. You can drag the entire iTunes folder to the same location on your new Mac.
This is another way of transferring your files and song to a new computer with the help of a software known as Wondershare TunesGo. You can simply download this software and then follow the given steps:
After the installation of this iTunes transfer tool, you need to open it. At the same time connect your Apple external device which you would be using for the transfer, that is either you iPhone, iPad, or iPod. This software will detect either of these devices and show it to you on the main window.
You will see the “Transfer iTunes to Device” on the interface of "Toolbox".
All of your playlists will be automatically checked, but you have the option of unchecking if you don’t want some of them. Tap on “Transfer” and this program will initiate the process of copying from iTunes to device.
Now connect this device with your new Computer using a UB cable and Launch TunesGo. Mind you this new computer must have this software previously installed. The software will detect your external device and automatically show it on the main window.
Right click the playlist and select "Export to My computer".
You can also copy the the songs, video, photos or any files to your PC or iTunes library. The same way as copy playlist.
At first you have to open the iTunes app on your main computer. Now create a playlist of the audio files you want in your CD.
To create a playlist you would have to navigate to the playlists tab at the top of the iTunes window. Click the PLUS icon on the bottom left corner, which means add. Select the option of new playlist. Rename you playlist and start dragging your songs or albums to the playlist.
Once you are done with the aforementioned step, tap on “done,” and then navigate to File and click Burn Playlist to disk.
This will bring you face to face with a window named Burn settings.
You can choose the speed which you require to burn the CD. This will determine the time which they will take in burning.
Insert the blank CD in the disk drive. Select the option “open in iTunes,” the burning has started. iTunes normally shows the progress on the top of the app window.
After your CD is burnt it will be ejected automatically. Insert this CD in the new Computer and copy the files in your iTunes folder.
