For the majority of people, transferring files from their PC to a new iPhone is a piece of cake – we have iTunes for that. The real problem arises when iTunes tries to sync with an iPhone that contains data as soon as you connect it to your computer. Because of Apple’s illegal sharing protection, we are forced to delete all that existing music, videos, playlists and other files on the device and for some of us, this might be an unacceptable loss. If you are one of these people, read on. In this article, I will describe different ways to transfer music from PC to iPhone, starting first with Wondershare TunesGo, the most sophisticated software for that purpose and then moving on to the manual iTunes method.
If I had to choose one tool for the rest of my life to transfer music or any file for that matter between different devices, my choice would be Wondershare TunesGo. It’s high compatibility, lightning speed transfers, easy to use interface and other awesome features are simply unmatched. And for those of you who want to transfer music from PC to iPhone, I have great news for you – you can do this in seconds and using 3 simple steps.
Step 1 Download and intall, open TunesGo and connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable.
Step 2 On the main interface, click Music to enter the Music window by default. Then click the "+Add" button, select Add File or Add Folder.
Step 3Then a new window will pop-up, select the music files or Music folder and then click Open to import music from PC to iPhone.
After a while, you can check the transferred songs on iPhone. Congratulations, your music collection is now on your iPhone.
Manually transferring your music collection using the familiar syncing feature in iTunes initially seems like the easiest way to go. However, as I have pointed out previously, it will delete all your existing files when you try to transfer music from PC to iPhone. Also, people who are new to iTunes and devices from Apple find it very confusing and challenging to use the app. So, if you choose to do it this way, make sure to follow all the steps outlined here so that you do not encounter any problem. Note that it is important that you make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
Step 1 To start off, connect your device to your computer using the appropriate USB cable.
Step 2 Next, open iTunes on your PC and since this is the first time that you connect this device to your computer, you will be greeted with the following window. Click Erase and Sync or Cancel. If a window appears on your iPhone, simply choose Trust to proceed.
Step 3 Then click on the iPhone icon at the upper left corner of the iTune’s window to enter the iPhone interface. You will enter Summary option by default, if not, click Summary in the left panel and locate the Options menu. Uncheck “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” and instead check “Manually manage music and videos”. Then click the Apply button so that we can start to transfer music from PC to iPhone. If you wish, you can create a backup in the same window before proceeding.
Step 4 Afterwards, you can import the songs you want to transfer to the iTunes library by clicking File and choosing “Add File to Library”. And then a new window pops up to choose the music files and click Open to go ahead. When you are done, click on the Music > Recently Added > Songs to make sure that you have all the music files you want there.
Step 5 Finally, Click iPhone icon again, under the Settings tab, choose Music and click Sync Music. Before transferring you can choose to either sync the entire library or individual playlists. When you have made a decision, click “Apply” in the lower right cornerand you can now enjoy your favorite tracks on your iPhone.
