There are a lot of mobile devices nowadays that are being purchased by most people. Typically, with these phones, the users will be able to take photos, listen to music, as well as call others or send text messages. However, due to the restrictions that are in effect in these phones, you will not be able to download applications that are not affiliated nor developed by the manufacturer of your phone. Typically, these restrictions are put into the systems because the manufacturer would want to ensure the security and safety of the user. The same idea also applies to the Huawei P7.
Thankfully, a process has been developed to allow the user to break into the system. The process is called rooting. If successful, you can download third party applications and install them. However, rooting your Huawei P7 mobile phone would mean that your warranty will be voided. You have to make sure that you know the consequences of a void warranty before you proceed with the undertaking.
Before anything else, you should make sure that you will only be rooting a phone that has more than 50% of its battery life. Back up files of those files that are stored in your mobile phone should also be created to prevent the loss of such data in case you might be encountering some errors along the way which will require you to reset your phone. After these precautionary measures have been done, here are the steps that you will need to follow to be able to root your Huawei P7.
Step 1 You need to go to the Settings of your phone. Afterwards, you need to tap on the Security option. You need to go to “Unknown sources” under “Device Administration”. You have to make sure that there is a check mark beside such item so that you will be allowed to download and install the files that are not coming from Google Play Apps.
Step 2 Next, you will need to enable the USB debugging function on your phone. In order to do so, you should be opening the Settings and tapping the “Developer Options” item. Afterwards, you have to look for “USB debugging” and tap on the box that is right beside it. It will be enabled once there is a check mark on the box. Typically, if you are using a 4.4.2 version or above for your phone, you will not be seeing the “Developer Options” item. Instead, what you need to do is go to your Settings, then look for “About phone”. Afterwards, you will need to tap on the “Built number” around seven to ten times.
Step 3 Using your computer, you will have to download the Root Genius application. You can download such file from a certain website http://androidmtk.com/download-root-genius-application. You will just have to run the files. Typically, the applications nowadays already have set up wizards that will guide any user on what to do with regards to completing the installation. The wizard will typically just let the user click on the Next button and click on the Finish button afterwards. These instructions are so easy that even a beginner can successfully complete it.
Step 4 After downloading and installing the application on your computer, you will have to open and run it. Once it is running, you will need to connect your Huawei P7 mobile phone to the computer using a USB connector. This way, you will be able to transfer files more easily and conveniently from the computer to the phone.
Step 5 The application on your computer will then try to detect your phone. Once it successfully detects the Huawei phone, then, you will then be notified about it. The rooting process can then begin.
Step 6 All you need to do afterwards is click on the “Root now” button that is located at the center of the screen. It will then automatically start the rooting process. What you just need to do is to let it run and wait for a few moments for the process to complete.
Step 7 Typically, the screen will be showing you the progress of the rooting process.
Step 8 After the process has been completed, the KingUser application should have already been installed. You should be able to see the KingUser icon as one of the applications installed in your phone. If the device has been successfully rooted, this icon will exist. If not, then, you will have to start the process again. Additionally, you might want to install a Root Checker application to do the checking for you. You can then enjoy your rooted phone.
There is also another way to have your Huawei P7 device rooted. This can be done just by going through a one click process. This process is brought to you by the TunesGo application. You should be downloading this application from the tunesgo.wondershare.com website and have it installed in your computer. After you have finished the download and installation of the application, you just need to run it and follow the next steps as presented below.
