Your phone probably doubles up as your camera. As a matter of fact it is not uncommon to find most people using their phone as a photo storage device. This can be a problem if you consider that you can lose your phone and with it all of the memories you have created.
This is why it is a good idea to transfer these Samsung photos to your computer so as to avoid accidental loss of the photo files which can easily happen if they remain on your phone. You may also need to save space on your phone as one way of improving your phone’s performance or you may want a backup of your photos on your computer. Whatever the reason, transferring your pictures from your phone to your computer doesn’t have to be hard.
As a matter of fact here are a few ways to transfer pictures from your Samsung phone to computer. We will look at some of the easiest and give you a step by step guide on how to use each one.
Wondershare TunesGo Android Manager for Samsung maybe the easiest way to transfer your photos from your Samsung phone to your computer. Let’s do it to illustrate the point. We are going to be transferring the files using the Windows version of TunesGo Android Manager but the same process works for the Mac version.
Assuming you have installed the Android Manager for Samsung on your computer, here’s the first step.
To transfer pictures from Samsung phone to computer, connect your phone to your computer using USB cable. The software should detect and display your Samsung Phone.
To transfer your photos you will have to click on the “Backup Photos to PC” option. Here you will find all the photos on your Samsung phone. This brings up your file browser window. Select a save path to store the photos from your Samsung phone to computer.
You can also just transfer pictures you want from Samsung phone to computer. Simply select the "Photos" tab on the top menu. Choose the ones you would like to transfer to your computer and then click on “Export.” Choose the location you would like your exported photos to be saved at and the transferring process will begin.
Ensure that your phone is connected to your computer during the entire process. Just like that, you now have a copy of your photos on your computer.
Another reliable way to transfer photos from your Samsung phone to your computer is by using samsung kies. This is the official Samsung Phone Manager software and it is quite useful for file transfers, this includes all other files on your phone including videos, audio and even documents. Let’s see how to transfer photos using samsung kies.
Assuming that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the samsung kies Software on your computer, here’s step one.
Step 1 To transfer pictures from Samsung phone to computer, connect your phone to your computer using USB cables. kies should recognize and display your phone’s details in this fashion.
Step 2 Transfer the photos: click on the photos option located in the left-hand column on kies. All of your photos will be displayed in the right hand column. Choose the one you want to export to your computer and click on the Save icon.
Just like that you will have transferred your pictures to your computer using kies.
You can also transfer photos from your Samsung phone to your computer via email. It is worth noting that you can only transfer a few of your pictures at a time (maybe about 3 at a time). Therefore this is a highly cumbersome, not to mention time consuming way of transferring your photos. You can use this system if you have to transfer just a few pictures.
Step 1 Open the gallery on your phone and then tap on album that contains the photos you want to send.
Step 2 Tap on the photo you want to send.
Step 3 Tap on Email or Gmail on your screen. Compose your message and then tap on Send button.
If you selected Gmail your default Gmail account will be used if you have more than one.
Of the methods we have discussed above using email is perhaps the most time consuming. This is because you can only maybe transfer about 3 photos at a time in this way. Therefore if you have a huge collection of photos on your phone, you may not be able to use this method.
We highly recommend the other 2 methods because they allow you to move larger volumes of files in a very short time. They consider the fact that your time is valuable and you wouldn’t want to spend it sending a few photos at a time.
It is also fair to say that each of the three can be advantageous or not to your needs. It is therefore up to you which one you choose to use.
